Atrangi Re is a romantic drama film directed by Aanand L Rai. It was written by Himanshu Sharma. It was jointly produced by Aanand L Rai, Himanshu Sharma, Bhushan Kumar, and Krishan Kumar under the banners of T-Series Films, Cape of Good Films, and Colour Yellow Productions. The film was also dubbed in Tamil and was released with the name "Galatta Kalyaanam". Its star casts are Akshay Kumar, Sara Ali Khan, Dhanush, Seema Biswas, and Ashok Banthia. It was the first Bollywood debut of the great south star Dhanush. 

Its story is A Rinku Khan, a serial eloper who is in love with a magician named Sajjad Kumar. She gets forcefully married to Vishu. Vishu soon falls in love with Rinku but the love triangle gets weird when Sajjad shows up. It talks about Love, Loss, and Trauma.

The film received many mixed critics reviews about Dhanush's acting, Akshay, and Sara's mind-blowing performance in film. The film was announced in 2020 but due to the covid pandemic, its shooting was lefts incomplete. The film was shooted in Varanasi, Bihar, Delhi, Agra, Mumbai and in some southern regions. 

The film was released on 24 December 2021 worldwide on Disney + Hotstar. The film has also received many awards. The film was made under a budget of Rs 40 Crores and had made a box office collection of Rs 100 Crores.
